Concrete cutting and drilling operations produce a lot of concrete slurry. This has a high pH as it is basically water that contains calcium carbonate and ground up rock in suspension.
Concrete slurry is not allowed to enter a sewer, a stormwater or a natural waterway because as it stops moving, the ground-up rock will very quickly settle out of suspension. If this happens in a waterway it will choke plants and the gills of the fish, or, if it is in your stormwater or sewer, it may end up blocking the pipes.
At Lowery, we have a solution. We will collect the slurry from your site and bring it back to base where we dispose of it to the requirements of our Resource Consent. You don’t need to worry about it.
